Warren M. Batchelder's residence, 435 Exeter Road, ca. 1899. This house was built ca. 1885 on land immediately west of the Batchelder family homestead, where Warren and his brothers also ran a meat business and slaughterhouse. He also operated an express service between Hampton and Boston. The house is a 2 1/2 story sidehall house with a sidehall entry on the western bay of the facade. It had Italianate features, such as an Italianate door hood and one story bay on the facade. A long porch extended the length of the main block and ell on the east elevation. A wing extended to the barn. This house was extensively remodeled in the 1930's by Warren's grandson, George H. Batchelder.
