Description
Lafayette Road looking south from the intersection with Winnacunnet Road, early 1900's. General Jonathan Moulton's house is in the distance. In 1922, this house, one of Hampton's most historic sites, was moved 150 feet southwest from its pictured location in order to straighten out the sharp bend in Lafayette Road. Today this stretch of road is lined with a multitude of businesses, a cinema complex, and the Catholic Church.
