Description
The old Toppan farm at 340 Lafayette Road, probably in the 1940s. From 1837 to 1849 Edmund Toppan was Hampton's postmaster, and the town's second post office was located here. During the 1930s and '40s Christopher Toppan operated a boarding house from here. In 1971 the Olde Hampton Village apartment complex was constructed on this site.
