Description

The traffic signal in the center of town, with the Lane Block at left, looking east on High Street. The first traffic lights in town were installed in 1924, and were replaced by new ones in 1930. Written at the base of the sign is "Boston", with an arrow pointing right, "Portland" with an arrow pointing left, and "Hampton Beach" in the middle.
