Description

The home of Moses Brown and family at 392 Lafayette Road. Standing in front is his daughter Mildred, born in 1886, who with her brother Albert (born 1889) operated Hampton's first gas station. The gasoline pump can be seen in the photo. The man pictured is either Albert or their father Moses. She graduated from Hampton Academy in 1904 and married in 1920, so this photo was likely taken around 1910-1920.
